Elevate the legal landscape in the Yukon as a Full-Time Legal Counsel. Lead diverse legal matters and ensure judicial independence as you support the Yukon Courts. In this permanent full-time role, you will provide in-house legal counsel for the Yukon Courts and judiciary.

Your responsibilities will include handling complex litigation and solicitor duties, while working closely with the Chief Justice and Chief Judge. Supervising judicial assistants and students, you will also address procedural and substantive legal issues. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice on court administration and judicial matters
- Manage diverse and complex legal files and issues
- Supervise Senior Judicial Assistants and law students
- Collaborate with judiciary on procedural matters
- Engage in policy development and advocacy

Requirements:

- Experience in Litigation or Solicitor work
- Membership in positive standing with Law Society of Yukon
- Bilingual in English and French preferred
- Knowledge of criminal law and Yukon First Nations history
- Security clearance for employment
