Whisk Matcha Café is a locally owned, plant-based matcha café and bakery located in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Barista to join our team.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced café setting, take pride in delivering excellent customer service, and have an appreciation for quality food and beverages, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Prepare matcha beverages, espresso drinks, and other café beverages
- Texture milk and create basic latte art
- Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service
- Operate the POS system and process customer orders
- Prepare simple food items and bakery products
- Package and label retail products
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the café
- Work collaboratively with the team during busy service periods

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of barista experience
- Experience steaming milk and preparing espresso beverages
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual,



and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Able to stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift and perform routine lifting and carrying associated with café operations
- Availability to work weekends is required

Have an interest in matcha is an asset, but full training on our products and preparation methods will be provided.
