John Ross & Sons Ltd. Specializes in purchasing and processing all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals, along with accepting a wide range of recyclable material to process. We are currently seeking an energetic and safety minded general laborer to join our team at our roofing site in Truro.

Full-time, permanent work Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment

Ensuring proper and precise measurements

Operating different machinery

Ensure quality assurance on manufactured parts

Maintain a clean and tidy work area

Upkeeping safety procedures





Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management

Other labor duties as necessary Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience in carpentry or roofing considered to be an asset

Experience of heavy lifting general labour

Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently Full PPE (CSA Steel toes, Gloves, Glasses, safety Vest, Hard Hat)

Transparent communication skills

Comfortable working in all weather conditions Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and every other Saturday. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
