We are a busy auto wrecking and recycling yard seeking a motivated Automotive Dismantler / Yard Labourer to join our team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical work and wants to build a career in the automotive recycling industry. We are willing to train the right candidate—no prior experience required, just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely dismantle and depollute vehicles using hand tools and power tools
- Remove engines, transmissions, and other major components from salvage vehicles
- Operate tire mounting and balancing machines
- Drain and properly dispose of vehicle fluids
- Accurately label, organize, and store removed parts
- Clean and prepare parts for shipping or resale
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined—an asset, but not required; we will train the right person
- Ability to perform physical labour, including repetitive lifting up to 40 kg
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy outdoor/workshop environment
- Robust attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Valid driver's license is an asset
