The Société de musique contemporaine du Québec (SMCQ) is seeking a visionary leader to head one of the most important contemporary music institutions in Quebec and Canada. A creative team: Cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensuring sustainability Financial and rigorous budget management. Oversee relationships with funders and orchestrate private funding initiatives.
Recruit and develop a high-performing team in an inclusive and stimulating environment. Strengthen strategic partnerships and represent the SMCQ with government bodies and professional networks. At least 5 years of experience managing a contemporary music organization, in a leadership role within a cultural organization, a non-profit organization, or a similar organization.
Skills in budget preparation, IT management tools,
grant applications, musician contract management, concert and festival logistics, supervision of various projects, and new communication tools. Bilingual (French, English). Act as the organization's human resources leader, ensuring the attraction, development, engagement, and retention of talent, while supporting managers and fostering a healthy organizational culture.
Flexible schedule to accommodate concerts, events, and other evening or weekend activities, with a regular in office presence at the SMCQ office.
