Eagle seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to ensure safety and compliance at the Detour Lake Mine, Canada’s largest mining operation. In this role, you'll conduct daily inspections, generate technical reports, and prepare hazard maps. Your expertise in geotechnical data collection and safety protocols will significantly contribute to our operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of pit and waste dump slopes
- Generate technical reports and SOPs for ground control
- Prepare weekly ground control plans and hazard maps
- Validate wall compliance and slope designs
- Perform geotechnical investigations and inspections Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Geological or Mining Engineering
- Eligible for EIT or Skilled Engineer registration in Ontario
- Experience with mapping and core logging
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
