As the Governance Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, manage department budgets, and prepare essential documents that aid governance. Your collaboration with leadership and committees is vital to ensure policies align with Haida values and contribute to community well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Governance team operations and prioritize tasks • Manage Governance department budgets and assist with proposals • Prepare reports and briefing notes for decision-making • Develop and improve governance frameworks and practices • Facilitate communication with community leaders and citizens
Requirements: • 3–5 years’ experience in governance or administration • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience • Strong organizational and communication abilities • Experience working with First Nations communities • Knowledge of Haida governance systems and Indigenous rights
