Job Title: Guest Services Representative

Reports to: AWC Services Support Lead, AWC Team Leaders

Department: AWC

Employment Type: Part-time

Duration/Term Length: One (1) academic semester

Compensation: $18/Hour

Work Hours: Shifts are scheduled during AWC operating hours of 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday. Must be available to work as early as 7:30am and as late as 8:30pm on weekdays.

Location: AWC Progress Campus

Job purpose The Guest Services Representative (GSR) works with a team of professional staff that support the student leadership and goals of the organization. The GSR is responsible for ensuring each guest of the Athletic and Wellness Centre (AWC) has an exceptional experience by providing a high standard of service. The GSR has an interest in working in a dynamic, rapidly changing and busy environment.

This position requires the incumbent to work effectively and foster cooperative relationships with Student Leaders as part of a student-focused organization

Duties and responsibilities

Guest Services

Specific duties and responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Provides member access to AWC services and amenities
- Supports the generation of sales of memberships, programs and CCSAI services
- Uses the facility management software to process sales, registrations, bookings and equipment rentals
- Supervises the fitness centre and supports its safety, cleanliness and policies
- Provides members and visiting non-members with accurate information on the facility, general information on the CCSAI, Centennial College and campus services or assists in finding them




- Provides high level customer service that supports the CCSAI’s mission, vision and values

Administrative Duties
- Maintains a high level of customer service to members at all times in person, by telephone and through email
- Attends AWC monthly staff meetings and other required department meetings and training sessions
- Supports document processing, marketing campaigns, and internal communications

Qualifications
- Active Centennial College students are preferred
- Must have a valid SIN number (minimum 6 months to expiry)

Experience:
- Working with a high level of professional customer service
- Experience with point of sales
- Working with complex customers and with de-escalation scenarios

Specialized Knowledge:

Proficiency with

- The use of computers
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft suite of programs

- High level interpersonal and communication skills
