Title: Program Advisor, Harm Reduction

Salary: $99,469 - $107,543 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)

Location: Anywhere in BC, Hybrid in the local FNHA offices (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).

Bargaining Unit: PSAC Local 22000 (Public Service Alliance of Canada)

About The Role As the Program Advisor for Harm Reduction you will support the provincial Toxic Drug Response team by providing strategic planning, support, analysis, and recommendations to advance First Nations responses to the toxic drug public health emergency. As a subject matter expert in First Nations-centered harm reduction and wellness, the Advisor leads the design, implementation, evaluation,



and continuous improvement of provincial FNHA harm reduction programs, education, and resources.

The role is responsible for planning, monitoring, reporting, budgeting, partnership development, and engagement activities related to the Harm Reduction Hub, including the Not Just Naloxone program, and community access-to-supply initiatives.

The Program

Advisor also prepares reports, briefing notes, and presentations for senior leadership to support decision-making for organizational priorities and to facilitate effective information sharing with internal and external partners. Working collaboratively with FNHA regional teams, internal departments, and external partners, the Program Advisor develops and delivers capacity-building initiatives, facilitates knowledge exchange, and promotes culturally safe approaches to harm reduction and wellness for First Nations people in British Columbia who use substances.

About You Education and experience

- A University degree with a minimum of six years of relevant experience or an acceptable combination of education, training

Knowledge

- Knowledge of community-based health policy, programming and service leadership
- Knowledge of concepts, practices and methods pertaining to community health-based accreditation and quality improvement
- Knowledge of change management principles,

The Pay
