La Roca is a vibrant fine-dining Mexican restaurant known for its upscale atmosphere, live music, and elevated dining experience. We are seeking a talented and creative Sous Chef who specializes in recipe development, up-to-date plating, and food presentation to help take our cuisine to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create and develop new recipes, specials, and seasonal menu items
- Design high-end plating and food presentation for all dishes
- Maintain consistency, quality, and portion control during service
- Lead and support kitchen staff during busy service hours
- Ensure all food meets La Roca’s standards of taste, appearance, and quality
- Oversee food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Assist with inventory control, prep planning, and minimizing food waste
- Train kitchen staff on plating techniques and recipe execution




- Work closely with ownership/management on menu innovation

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen (fine dining preferred)
- Proven experience with recipe creation and artistic plating
- Strong understanding of food presentation, textures, and flavors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Leadership skills and ability to manage a kitchen team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Mexican cuisine experience is an asset but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
