Alberta Homecare Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dependable Overnight Companion Caregiver to join our team. This is a casual position with the chance to work full-time hours based on client needs and availability.

Typical overnight shifts are 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The ideal candidate enjoys providing companionship, promoting client safety, and supporting individuals in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities

- Provide companionship and emotional support throughout the overnight shift.
- Assist with medication reminders or medication assistance according to the client's care plan.
- Monitor the client's safety and well-being during the night.
- Provide light personal care if required.
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
- Prepare light meals, snacks, or beverages.
- Complete light housekeeping related to the client's care.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.

Qualifications
- Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate or equivalent caregiving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors or individuals requiring homecare is an asset.




- Medication assistance experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and able to work independently.

Requirements
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
