Role Description The Human Resources Assistant is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role supports the HR team with day-to-day activities, including maintaining employee records, updating and managing data in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.

The Human Resources

Assistant helps administer employee benefits, coordinates training and development activities, and prepares documentation, reports, and correspondence related to HR programs and policies. The role involves responding to employee inquiries, ensuring accurate and confidential handling of information, and supporting HR projects that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness. Collaboration with colleagues across departments and adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards are essential.

Qualifications





Robust foundational knowledge of Human Resources (HR) practices, including HR policies, employment standards, and general HR support processes.

Experience with HR Management support activities such as recruitment coordination, onboarding, maintaining personnel files, and assisting with performance and employee relations processes.

Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), with the ability to enter, track, and analyze HR data accurately and maintain confidential records.

Skills in Benefits Administration, including supporting enrollment, changes, employee communications, and basic benefits inquiries.

Ability to assist with Training coordination, including organizing sessions, tracking participation, and supporting learning and development initiatives.

Relevant post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification or coursework is an asset.

Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a regulated environment.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels; bilingual English/French communication skills are an asset.

Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and comfort working with data and reports.

Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and ethical conduct in all HR activities.
