Urgent Hiring: Junior IT Field Support Specialist – Travel & Event POS Support

Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON + National Travel

Engagement: 3-Month Initial Contract (Potential to extend)

Travel: 1x per Month across Canada (100% Paid: Flights, Hotels, & Meals Covered)

Are you a hands-on IT technician or recent tech graduate looking to gain valuable field support experience while traveling across Canada?

On behalf of one of our top retail clients, LuxeTech is seeking a reliable, motivated Junior IT Field Support Specialist to assist with setting up and supporting IT infrastructure for high-volume pop-up retail events across Canada.

No specialized POS knowledge required. 1 to 2 weeks of structured training will be provided by a highly qualified IT Manager!

What We Are Looking For

- Practical IT Background: Junior-level IT support, desktop support, field service, or retail tech background.
- Basic Hardware & Networking Understanding: Hands-on experience with cabling, connecting switches/routers, and setting up basic hardware.
- Hands-On Mindset: Comfortable moving equipment, running cables, and working in fast-paced on-site environments.
- Reliable & Resilient:



Calm under pressure with a robust process-following approach and great communication skills.
- Willingness to Travel: Open to traveling 1x per month to event locations across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

- Hardware & Event Setup: Unpack, set up, and test POS workstations, pin pads, receipt printers, and payment terminals prior to event openings.
- Basic Networking: Connect network switches, Wi-Fi access points, and cabling to ensure reliable internet connectivity.
- On-Site Troubleshooting: Provide real-time hardware and connectivity support during live, high-volume event sales.
- Vendor Escalation: Coordinate with 24/7 third-party technical vendors (payment gateways, ISP support) to resolve system issues quickly.
- Teardown & Logistics: Safely pack, inventory, and decommission equipment following event closures.
