Summary Instructors in the Outdoor Filmmaking Certificate oversee students across multiple areas of applied learning.

The successful candidate has a well-established portfolio in documentary media, encompassing significant experience in finance and marketing, as well as directing, writing, and producing both long-form and short-form documentary content.

Applicants must have established competency in at least two of the following areas for Long-Form (feature) Drama or Documentary

Direction

Producing (Finance and/or Creative)

Writing

Director of Photography

Experience, Competencies & Qualifications

Masters Degree in Fine Arts or related subject area. Post Secondary instructional experience is required

Minimum of 15 years of experience in the professional Motion Picture and Media Industries with credits in documentary features and shorts. On-set and related experience in overseeing industry safety procedures and protocols.

Current experience with film industry technical and creative workflows

Experience teaching in a post-secondary workplace

Experience working and collaborating within a large and diverse team

Proficient and professional understanding of Teams, Zoom and other relevant online teaching platforms and applications.
