Job Title: Java Developer Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite)

Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.

Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services using Apache Kafka.

Develop secure, high-quality, and maintainable code following industry best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment processes.

Design and optimize SQL queries, database schemas, and data access layers.

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation.





Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required

Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.

Experience building Microservices and REST APIs.

Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven applications.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Strong SQL skills with experience in relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

Proficiency with Git and contemporary software development practices.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
