Overview

Leena's Cookies is looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Junior Baker to join our growing bakery team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys baking, takes pride in producing high-quality products, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen setting. As a Junior Baker, you will assist with preparing our signature cookies and other baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, consistency, and food safety.

You will work closely with the Head Baker and bakery team to ensure fresh products are available throughout the day.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Accurately scale and prepare ingredients while following company recipes and baking standards
- Mix, portion, shape, and bake cookies according to daily production needs
- Prepare doughs, fillings, frostings, and other bakery components
- Package cookies and wholesale orders with care to ensure freshness and presentation
- Restock ingredients and supplies, and notify team leads when inventory is low
- Help organize storage areas and rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, quality control, and equipment operation procedures
- Report any product quality or equipment concerns to the Kitchen Leader
- Work closely with the bakery team to keep production running smoothly and efficiently
- Assist with general bakery tasks and support teammates wherever needed
- Take pride in producing high-quality cookies and maintaining the standards of Leena's Cookies

Qualifications

- Valid Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon hiring).
- Previous baking, kitchen, bakery, restaurant, or food production experience;




- Passion for baking and producing high-quality food. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency. Ability to accurately follow recipes and instructions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable operating commercial kitchen equipment after appropriate training.
