Position Overview:
We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant or Kinesiologist with a strong background in exercise science to work directly alongside our Lead Physiotherapist. This role focuses on implementing individualized exercise therapy programs and supporting clients through their rehabilitation journey.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about active rehabilitation, enjoys working one-on-one with clients, and thrives in a team-oriented setting. It is an opportunity to learn from and work with an established Physiotherapist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver protected, effective, and personalized exercise programs under the supervision of the Physiotherapist
- Guide clients through rehabilitative exercises and monitor proper form and progression
- Track and report client progress to the Physiotherapist regularly
- Administer and record standardized outcome measures
- Foster meaningful, professional relationships with clients and colleagues
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing learning, and skills development
- Contribute to a welcoming and engaging clinic environment
Qualifications:
- Degree in Kinesiology or a related field (asset)
- Background in personal training, strength and conditioning, or exercise prescription (required)
- Strong foundation in anatomy, biomechanics, and strength training principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the clinical team
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
- R.Kin designation is an asset
