As the Lead Estimator, you will report to the President and lead the cost estimation for heavy industrial projects.
Your expertise in interpreting construction drawings and developing accurate budgets for Design-Build projects will be pivotal. This role demands exceptional attention to detail and robust organizational skills, as you’ll coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure successful bids. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete project cost estimates for self-performed work
- Conceptualize and estimate based on design documents
- Review and analyze subcontractor quotations
- Develop project schedules to support estimates
- Mentor junior estimators for accuracy
Requirements:
- 10-15+ years of estimating experience in industrial piping
- Extensive knowledge of construction documents
- Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology
- Proficient in MS Office and similar software
- Valid BC Class 5 driver's license and clean record
