Your Role The Lead, Philanthropic Development is a purpose-driven, motivated and dynamic individual who thrives on building relationships to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in fundraising, B2B prospecting, and working with diverse stakeholders, including those across private, public, nonprofit and charity sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to help expand national impact, ultimately connecting Canadians to member charities to increase the funds raised on their behalf.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, Development, in execution of the Business Development strategic and operational plans, the primary responsibilities of the Lead, Philanthropic Development are:
- Prospecting & Outreach:
Drive the development and execution of the new business origination strategy, proactively identifying and engaging potential clients across Canada. Develop and implement strategies to prospect and secure new workplace campaigns.
- B2B Relationship Development: Be a relentless bi-directional ambassador between Employers, Employees, and all stakeholders. Foster strong and collaborative relationships while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring mutual value.
- Revenue Generation: Drive current revenue opportunities by securing workplace campaigns and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives. Ensure targets are met and contribute to overall success.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Coordinate with BD and cross-functional teams to support targeting, prospecting, negotiation and acquisition of new workplace campaigns.
- Reporting & Measurement: Track success of new business origination, maintain accurate CRM data, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Marketing & Communication Support: Collaborate with marketing teams on proposals, pitch materials, email templates, and campaign promotion tools.
- Continuous Improvement & Program Assessment: Evaluate effectiveness and profitability of strategies, identify improvements, and optimize performance and client satisfaction.
- Network Expansion: Represent the organization at events, conferences,
and networking opportunities to expand national reach and partnerships.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Passion for health-related causes
- Post-secondary education in business or related field
- Proven experience in B2B relationship building, business development, or fundraising
- Track record of achieving financial targets
- Strong ability to identify and secure new opportunities
- Experience with workplace campaigns, CSR or employee giving (asset)
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Project management experience
- Bilingual (French/English) preferred
- Alignment with mission and values
