Banking is comprised of TD's Canadian personal banking and business banking segments and is the engine of TD Bank representing over 35% of the bank's revenues. Our dynamic, talented and collegial team of legal professionals provide advice about a wide range of legal issues in Canadian Banking. We are a results-driven, high-performing team and in this role, you will have the opportunity to support multiple business teams and stakeholders across the enterprise, delivering strategy, risk mitigation, and legal guidance.
You will provide legal advice and manage legal risk relating to TD's Canadian Personal Bank (CPB): Provide risk-calibrated legal advice that enables business strategy while managing legal and regulatory risk Translate complex legal issues into explicit, practical guidance for business partners Identify issues and provide practical insight into risks to assist colleagues in making decisions Recognize opportunities to use legal expertise to contribute to business solutions and enable business strategy Participate in Product Development, Issue-spotting, and Regulatory Change Initiatives for CPB products Provide legal and strategic advice to business and control partners to support compliance with federal and provincial legislation relevant to your areas of responsibility,
