Position Details This position will support the Palliative Care Department.
Facility: St. Joseph's Children's Hospital
Location: Tampa, FL
Status: Full Time, Exempt: Yes
Shift Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
On Call: No

Responsibilities
Is a member of a cooperative practice model that includes patients, nurses, hospital care coordinators, physicians, and other practitioners, caregivers, and the community.
Is knowledgeable about disease, treatment,
social and economic implications for individuals and families as it pertains to their age, stage of psychosocial development and discharge needs.
Is pragmatic in approaching End of Life and ethical issues.
Utilizes clinical counseling skills when applicable.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
Required Experience: 1 year social services in a community based social services or health care setting.
Required
LCSW (Social Work); Or - LMHC (Mental Health). Select departments may also accept LMFT (Marriage and Family) as equal qualification.
