Role Description The Loader Operator (Yard) is a full-time, on-site role based in Acheson, AB, responsible for safe and efficient operation of loaders and related equipment in the yard. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading lumber trucks, moving lumber to our manufacturing facility, access, rig, and crane mats, organizing and stacking materials, and assisting with inventory management and yard layout. The role involves conducting pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, reporting maintenance needs, and following all safety procedures and company policies.

The Loader

Operator will coordinate with yard staff and drivers to ensure timely staging of materials for installation, removal, and trucking operations,



and may assist with general yard housekeeping and minor manual labor as required. Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in operating loaders and similar heavy equipment, with a strong focus on protected handling of materials.

Experience working in industrial yards, construction, oil and gas, or related environments, including basic understanding of material handling and logistics.

Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including adherence to PPE requirements, hazard awareness, and safe equipment operation procedures.

Ability to read and follow work orders, communicate clearly with team members, and coordinate tasks with drivers and yard staff.

Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking mats and related materials.

Valid equipment operator certifications or tickets (e.g., loader operator, heavy equipment) are preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Edmonton, AB worksite.

Previous experience in matting, access solutions, or similar field is an asset, but candidates with strong equipment operating skills and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
