Cutting Edge Industries Ltd. is seeking a dependable and organized Shop Administrator to join our team. This position is an integral part of our daily operations, providing administrative support while helping ensure our machine shop runs efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities, is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Order raw materials and day-to-day machine shop supplies
- Receive materials and assist with inventory management
- Enter and maintain jobs in our E2 manufacturing software system
- Assist with daily bookkeeping and general administrative duties
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the shop
- Maintain organized records and filing systems
- Liaise with suppliers and coordinate purchasing as required
- Provide administrative and operational support to the shop owner and production team
Qualifications
- Previous administrative experience (manufacturing or machine shop experience is considered an asset)
- Solid organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Basic bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is considered an asset
- Comfortable learning and using computer software, including E2 (experience with E2 or similar ERP software is an asset)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Positive attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Position Details
- Part-time to start, with the opportunity to transition to full-time for the right candidate
- Adaptable daytime hours
- Monday to Friday
