Story Behind the Need Project: Need help for JU Mainframe KTLO and Projects - This position supports the development of a new initiative focused on customer collections and credit increase/decrease, specifically credit risk assessment. Ongoing projects – maintenance activities. Backe-end role. Working with HM, Director and another Developer – so a 5 member team including this CW.
Typical
Day in Role
- Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL on mainframe systems
- Perform unit testing of COBOL/DB2 modules
- Support QA Testing (QAT) execution and defect resolution
- Collaborate with team members to deliver enhancements and improvements
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills
- 3+ years of development experience in all these Mainframe technologies: Cobol, JCL, DB2
- Hands-on experience with version control tools: Endevor (preferred) or similar tools (e.g. Control-M) Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience with scheduling tools such as CA7
- Financial industry experience is an asset 3) Experience with Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket is an additional advantage Education:
