Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO), the Manager, Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting is an experienced finance professional with strong analytical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills. The incumbent provides strategic leadership for financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting functions, supporting both clinical and corporate service areas. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and insightful financial and statistical reporting, analysis, forecasting, and decision support at both the program and corporate levels while ensuring exceptional client focused service across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Lead the annual operating budget process, multi-year forecasting,



and financial planning activities across clinical and corporate portfolios. Enhance budget process incorporating Activity-Based Budgeting approach and utilizing provincial benchmarking tools.
- Deliver insightful activity-based financial analysis, forecasting, benchmarking, and decision-support services to operational and executive leadership
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and statistical reporting for Senior Leadership, Board Committees, Ontario Health, and the Ministry of Health
- Lead variance analysis, performance monitoring, and development of financial dashboards and reporting tools
- Provide leadership and oversight for case costing, MIS reporting, benchmarking, and funding model analysis
- Act as the subject matter expert on hospital funding methodologies, Health System Funding Reform (HSFR), Ontario Health reporting, Hospital Sector Stabilization Plan (HSSP), and accountability requirements.
- Ensure compliance with OHRS, MIS Guidelines, and other regulatory reporting requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support audits, business cases, strategic initiatives, and organizational transformation projects
- Collaborate with Finance, Decision Support, Human Resources, Procurement, and operational leaders to enhance reporting, controls,



and financial performance.

Qualifications

- University degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation in valuable standing.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting experience in a hospital environment.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong knowledge of hospital funding methodologies, Ontario Health reporting, HSFR, OHRS, MIS Guidelines, and case costing.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, benchmarking, financial modelling, and performance reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency with financial reporting tools; experience with Epic, Workday, and Power BI is an asset.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

BAND D Range

$56.31 - $70.37
