Backed by more than a decade of successful farming experience, the company is expanding its agricultural operations into value-added food processing through the development of a state-of-the-art wheat flour milling facility.

In addition to serving the traditional flour market, our mill is designed to produce premium specialty flours tailored for Asian food applications, including noodles, steamed buns, dumplings, dim sum products, and other specialty foods. We are committed to supplying consistent, high-quality flour to food manufacturers, bakeries, noodle producers, and other value-added food businesses across Canada and North America.

As the project advances through commissioning, trial production, and full commercial operation, Dragon Valley Farm is seeking an experienced and motivated commercial skilled to play a key role in launching and expanding our presence in the Canadian and North American flour markets The Market Development Specialist will be responsible for customer development, distribution channel building, and commercial relationship management for the company's specialty flour products as well as its byproducts in the Canadian and North American markets. This role requires strong familiarity with food-ingredient sales channels, and the ability to build and maintain business relationships with food manufacturers, bakeries, distributors,



and food brokers in order to bring the company's products into target markets. This is a core commercial position and will play a key role during trial production and full commercial operation.

Key Responsibilities

1 Develop and maintain target customers, including food manufacturers, bakeries, noodle and pasta producers, food-service supply chain companies, other flour users as well as byproducts clients.

2 Build and manage distributor and food broker channel networks, driving product coverage across retail, food-service, and industrial customer markets.

3 Develop and execute market development plans, identifying target regions, customer segments, and channel opportunities.

4 Work with the Quality Control / R&D; team to collect customer product specification requirements and support customized product development and customer trials.

5 Follow up on customer feedback and coordinate resolution of issues related to product quality, delivery, packaging, and service, maintaining long-term customer relationships.

6 Collect and analyze market information, including competing products, price trends, channel developments, and industry opportunities, and provide market recommendations to management.

7 Attend industry trade shows, customer visits, channel meetings, and related business activities to raise the company's brand and product profile.

8 Establish and maintain customer files,



sales records, quotation records, and business follow-up documentation to ensure complete and traceable business information.

9 Work with management to develop sales targets, channel strategies, and market promotion plans in support of the company's overall business development.

Qualifications

1 Sales or business development experience in food, food ingredients, flour, grain and oilseed products, byproducts or a related industry.

2 Strong familiarity with the North American food distribution system, including how distributors and food brokers operate.

3 Owning an established industry customer base and sales network is preferred.

4 3–5+ years of B2B sales, business development, or channel management experience preferred.

5 Strong business negotiation, customer communication, and relationship management skills.

6 Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to carry out market development work independently.

7 Ability to travel for customer visits, trade shows, and channel development activities.

Knowledge of flour products, bakery ingredients, byproducts or other grain-processing products is an asset.

Pay: $40,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
