Duties

- Skillfully cut, trim, grind, and prepare different types of meats according to safety standards and customer specifications
- Ensure all meat products are handled with proper hygiene practices and adhere to food safety regulations
- Package meat products securely for retail display or wholesale distribution, maintaining freshness and quality
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable advice on meat cuts, cooking methods, and product selection
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and storage areas to promote a safe and sanitary environment
- Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock appropriately, and report shortages or quality issues promptly




- Follow all food handling procedures during processing, packaging, and storage to prevent contamination
- Management potential

Experience

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting roles is preferred
- Strong knowledge of various meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards
- Hands-on experience with food handling, packaging, and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with kitchen environments or culinary settings is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing precise cutting tasks
- Certification or training in food safety is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is valued
