We invite applications from physicians across Newfoundland and Labrador for a part‑time, virtual Occupational Health Physician position. This is a province‑wide role — physicians based anywhere in NL are encouraged to apply regardless of their primary practice location. We have a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of professionals in occupational health, injury prevention, occupational and non‑occupational disability management, and occupational health and safety.
The successful candidate will serve as a virtual consultant to the occupational health team on matters related to complex return‑to‑work and medically related accommodations, communicable disease management, occupational disease,
safety‑related issues, and other clinical activities performed by the Occupational Health team. This is a fully virtual position open to physicians located anywhere in Newfoundland and Labrador. Medical
Degree (MD) from a recognized institution Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador Certification in Occupational Medicine (required) Current Medical Review Officer (MRO) verification and progressive experience in the field considered an asset Experience in delivery of occupational health services considered an asset Must satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check Provide expert virtual consultation to the occupational health team on complex return‑to‑work cases and medically related accommodations Advise on occupational disease, safety‑related issues, and other clinical occupational health matters Collaborate virtually with the multidisciplinary occupational health team across NL Health Services promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements Remuneration is Fee‑For‑Service/Sessional in accordance with the Medical Care Plan (MCP) Payment Schedule. CAD 188.84 per hour.
