Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Key Responsibilities:
-Administering EKG's and Spirometry tests
-Answering telephones, sanitizing & filling exam rooms, greeting patients, and updating/maintaining patient medical records.
-Processing billings, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, and arranging for referral services.
-Clinical duties such as taking patient’s heights and weights, blood pressure, preparing patients for examination and assisting physicians during examinations as needed
-Maintaining strict confidentiality according to the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)
-Working with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and service.
-Assisting with small projects as required by other administrative support
- Upholding and promoting the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Medigroup's Code of Conduct.
Essential Requirements: AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday between 8am-6:15pm Saturdays 10am-4pm
-Highschool diploma or equivalent
-Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task
-Robust interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
-Skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff, patients, and medical personnel
Asset Qualifications:
-Certificate of Medical Administrative Assistant/Clinical Office Assistant or equivalent preferred
-Knowledge of computer systems and applications,particularly Input Health, MS-Office, Windows etc.
-Experience providing service to members of the public
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
