We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our two-physician specialty practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing support to both patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage clinic flow.
- Room patients and do blood pressure and weight checks.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of clinic time.
- Prepare patient charts and documentation in Accuro EMR, including scanning, faxing and filing.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and other communications with patients and referring offices.
- Handle billing, referrals, and medical documentation accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required to support the practice’s operations.
Requirements
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in managing office tasks.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems; familiarity with Accuro is an asset.
- Proficiency in medical terminology for effective communication within the office.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting (at least 1 year), preferably a specialist practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and staff members.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
