Support the mental health needs of seniors as a Mental Health Clinician at Fraser Health. This role focuses on assessment and treatment for geriatric patients in the community. As a Clinician in Fraser Health’s Geriatric Program, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat elderly individuals facing mental health issues.
You will facilitate education, advocate for patients, and collaborate with community services, all while conducting home visits and crisis interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess referrals for elderly clients
- Create treatment plans and conduct interventions collaboratively
- Monitor complex psychosocial situations continuously
- Participate in inter-team meetings and case conferences
- Keep comprehensive clinical records in compliance with protocols
Requirements:
- Master’s in a health-related field, such as Clinical Counselling
- At least 1 year of relevant experience with Geriatric patients
- Eligible for registration with a qualified association
- Valid Class V BC Driver’s License and a personal vehicle
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
