Hours: 35–40 hours per week

Schedule: Early morning, morning, day, shift, flexible hours, on-call, weekends, overtime available

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and caring Nanny to provide child care and household support in our private home in Nanaimo, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of children while supporting their daily routines, activities, and development.

This is an on-site position. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis; however, living accommodation is not a condition of employment.

Education

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

- Experience as a nanny, child caregiver, or in a related field is an asset

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- Supervise and care for children
- Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
- Organize activities, games, and outings
- Assist children with homework
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Tend to children's emotional well-being
- Keep records of daily activities and health information




- Take children to and from school and appointments
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to child care
- Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Follow parenting methods and discipline approaches requested by parents
