Role Description The Nurse Continence Advisor – Customer Care Team role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mississauga, ON. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing clinical guidance and continence management advice to patients and caregivers, primarily via phone and other communication channels, and supporting them in the appropriate use of urology and incontinence products.
The role involves assessing patient needs within scope of practice, documenting interactions accurately, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of patient inquiries and product-related concerns.
The Nurse Continence
Advisor will also contribute to patient education materials, support product training initiatives,
and provide feedback to improve customer care processes and services. This position requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, professional communication, and adherence to clinical and company standards.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in continence care, urology, or related nursing specialty, with the ability to assess patient needs and provide evidence-based guidance.
- Strong patient communication and customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to explain clinical information in clear, accessible language.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping, with attention to detail and accuracy in patient interaction notes and care recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, results-oriented environment, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and adapting to changing priorities.
- Comfort with using office and communication technologies (e.g., phone systems, email, electronic records, basic computer applications) to support patient care and internal workflows.
- Current nursing registration in good standing (RPN/LPN) in the applicable Canadian jurisdiction; continence advisor certification or urology nursing experience is an asset.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and meet service level expectations.
