24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions is looking for Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioners (current and in good standing) to work at a large mine in the Bathurst Inlet region of Nunavut. The NP would be joining a team of medical professionals including Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Advanced Care Paramedics, and Primary Care Paramedics. Our occupational health clinic is supported remotely by a team of ER physicians.

The Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioner will be expected to practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director. The NP will work as part of the on‑site clinical team and have access to our 24/7 on‑call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine and or the provision of advanced care in a remote setting would be an asset.
The NP will be expected to:
- Provide on‑site emergency / primary and occupational health services
- Assist with occupational injury / illness case management.
- Review pre‑employment medical examinations.
- Provide occupational health surveillance services: audiometric, spirometry and respiratory fit testing.
- Provide drug and alcohol testing services.
Qualifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- TNCC (preferred)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate is equivalent of $1,020 per 12‑hour day (plus 4% in lieu of vacation)

Schedule:
- Two weeks on, two weeks off
