Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for introducing patients to our office, managing patient treatment plans, ensuring effective communication between patients and healthcare providers, preparing and managing insurance submissions and facilitating a seamless experience within our office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental terminology and experience in orthodontics and airway treatment is an asset.
This position rotates between our Leduc and Edmonton offices.
Duties
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by assessing needs and discussing options with patients.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) to ensure all patient information is up-to-date.
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits, ensuring optimal patient flow within the office.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment options, insurance coverage,
and payment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline processes and enhance patient care.
- Educate patients about procedures, treatments, and post-care instructions.
- Submit and follow up on government funding programs for orthodontic coverage
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental office office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a rapid-paced environment.
- A compassionate approach to patient care and customer service.
- Experience with Dolphin Management is an asset.
