Bookkeeper (Part-Time) — Muskoka Marinas

About Us

Muskoka Marinas is a marina located in Utterson, Ontario, operating two marina locations offering slip rentals, boat storage, boat rentals, fuel sales, boat sales, service work, and retail sales. We're looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to keep our financial operations running smoothly through our busy boating season and beyond.

About the Role

We're hiring a part-time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records for the marina, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, bank reconciliations, and seasonal revenue tracking (slip rentals, storage, fuel, service work, and retail sales).

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records using [accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks/Sage]
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare and process payroll (or support external payroll provider)
- Track seasonal revenue streams across two marina locations (slip rentals, dry storage, boat rentals, fuel sales, boat sales, service work, retail sales)
- Assist with HST filings and remittances
- Prepare financial reports for ownership/management




- Support year-end documentation for the accountant/auditor

Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with seasonal/fluctuating transaction volumes
- Experience in marine, hospitality, or seasonal-business bookkeeping is an asset but not required
- Experience with Lightspeed DMS is an asset
