Summary

As a Phonics Teacher at DoodleMinds, you will play a key role in building strong foundational English literacy skills for young learners through engaging, systematic phonics instruction. Reporting to the Program Lead, your core responsibilities include designing and delivering age-appropriate phonics lessons, communicating with parents, and ensuring the safety and well-being of every child. Your expertise in English language teaching combined with a passion for working with children will bring reading and language skills to life in the classroom, making a lasting impact on each child's development.

Main Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate phonics lessons that build letter-sound recognition, blending, decoding, and early reading skills.
- Create a supportive and interactive classroom environment that encourages students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.
- Attend curriculum training and career development opportunities to stay current with best practices in phonics and early English literacy instruction.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging children to build confidence in reading and language skills.
- Build strong connections with parents and guardians, maintaining open communication to support each child's learning journey.
- Adhere to program schedules and maintain appropriate student-to-teacher ratios, providing adequate notice for any scheduling changes.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the DoodleMinds program.

Qualifications:





- English must be the candidate's native language (required).
- Must be a current elementary school English teacher, or have prior experience teaching English at the elementary school level (required).
- Diploma or degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field。
- Solid understanding of phonics instruction methods and early literacy development.
- Genuine love for working with children, with patience and a nurturing approach to teaching.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for language and literacy education.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required.
