Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and organized Parts Manager to lead our automotive parts department. The ideal candidate will oversee inventory management, supervise parts staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain strong relationships with vendors. This role is responsible for maximizing department profitability while ensuring technicians and customers receive the right parts in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the parts department.

- Maintain optimal inventory levels through accurate forecasting and ordering.

- Monitor inventory turnover and minimize obsolete or excess stock.

- Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.

- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate parts department employees.

- Ensure technicians receive parts promptly to support productive shop operations.

- Assist retail and wholesale customers with parts inquiries and orders.

- Maintain accurate inventory records using the dealership management system (DMS).

- Process warranties, returns, credits, and core returns according to company policies.

- Analyze department performance and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.

- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and manufacturer standards.





- Collaborate with the service and sales departments to improve overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business or automotive studies is an asset.

- 3–5+ years of automotive parts experience, including supervisory or management experience.

- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and inventory management.

- Experience using dealership management software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, Tekion, or similar systems) is preferred.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.

- Ability to analyze reports and make data-driven decisions.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
