Position Overview
Pediatric Neurologist/Epileptologist position at Shared Health-Soins Communs, commencing January 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat pediatric neurological disorders, including seizure disorders, strokes, tumors, ataxia, headaches, neuromuscular disorders, metabolic and degenerative diseases, infectious diseases, developmental malformations and developmental delay.
- Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures, and consult with other physicians as required (70% clinical duties).
- Engage in teaching and academic duties as an Assistant Professor (30% of the position).
- Participate in research and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine with specialization in Pediatrics.
- Completion of a neonatal neurology fellowship and a Canadian pediatric epilepsy fellowship.
- Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
- Experience in pediatric neurology preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Mixed compensation model primarily based on fee‑for‑service income,
approximately $340,000.
