Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. Our growing team is looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) . This position is first and foremost a Release Train Engineer role.
In addition, your SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification will enable you to help embed and evolve SAFe, specifically on the scaled delivery dimension within IT. You will work closely with the Product Operations Lead (Product Ops) and the Transformation Coach to align delivery, discovery, and transformation within a learning organization that is evolving its delivery practices toward a product operating model. Agile foundations are already in place (Squads,
quarterly planning, Scrum Masters); You Will Embody This Mindset Shift Every Day You help teams focus on value and results.
You ask the right questions to help them solve them themselves.
Facilitating Agile Release
Train (ART) events: Prepare, facilitate, and follow up on major ART events, especially PI Planning (Program Increment Planning), System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops, always understanding the intent behind the ceremony. Ensure synchronization across agile teams (Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers) and stakeholders.
Systemic dependency and risk management: Visualize the end-to-end value stream to identify and help resolve upstream blockers and dependencies (ROAMing). Collect and communicate train-level progress, quality, and predictability metrics to ensure transparency at all levels.
Coach Scrum
Masters and teams to strengthen their stance and effectiveness in day-to-day execution. Help define and evolve SAFe delivery-related standards (templates, ceremonies, Jira/Confluence tooling) to ensure overall consistency while respecting team autonomy.
Continuous improvement: You won’t work alone. You will be part of a trio of complementary roles covering the three dimensions of the transformation: You, SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE): Delivery flow, predictability, scaled coordination, enabling team facilitators.
Transformation Coach: Culture and leadership management mindsets,
leader development, systemic change. Your success will be measured by the quality of this collaboration. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), Solution Train Engineer (STE), or experienced Agile Coach in a scaled SAFe environment (multi-team, multi-stakeholder).
Experience in a transformation toward a product operating model is a major asset. An active SAFe SPC certification is a solid asset. Strong understanding of Lean-Agile principles beyond theory, with the ability to translate them into concrete actions in the field.
Interest in using AI is a plus. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country. No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
