We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in need of support in their daily lives. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication-related activities
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living workplace
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both client and caregiver
- Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a Personal Support Worker or in assisted living or nursing home environments
- Demonstrated experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
- Strong caregiving skills combined with the ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, compassionate attitude, and patience when working with diverse populations
- Ability to follow care plans meticulously while maintaining a positive, energetic approach
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or relevant caregiving credentials preferred but not mandatory
