Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Budgets & Asset Management, the Director, Budget Planning is a key financial leader responsible for the development of the University's large-scale operating budgets. The Director ensures timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, budget models, and financial reporting to support institutional decision-making.
This role supports the design and implementation of budget development processes,
revenue forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning processes, while maintaining compliance with funding frameworks, collective agreements, and strategic priorities. The position also supports continuous improvement in budgeting systems and technologies, drafts policies and processes and leads a high-performing team committed to excellence. Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as business or accounting. 8 years of senior financial management experience in a large complex organization, preferably an academic institution.
