? Position Overview

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for PACU opportunities in Burnaby, British Columbia. These assignments provide the opportunity to work in quick-paced surgical recovery environments while collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

As an LPN – PACU , you will provide post-anesthesia nursing care within your scope of practice, monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, assist with pain management, and support Registered Nurses and physicians in delivering safe, patient-centered care throughout the recovery process.

? Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures within LPN scope of practice
- Administer medications, IV therapy (where authorized), and assist with pain management interventions
- Monitor airway, breathing, circulation, vital signs, and patient comfort
- Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly report concerns to the RN or physician
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons,



Registered Nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and reporting
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery instructions
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures
- Support efficient patient flow and recovery room operations in a fast-paced environment

? Requirements

✔ Active LPN registration with the BCCNM

✔ Current BLS certification (ACLS is an asset where required)

✔ Recent PACU, Acute Care, Surgical, Critical Care, ICU, or ER experience preferred

✔ Strong patient assessment, monitoring, and clinical skills

✔ Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environments

✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills

✔ Commitment to patient safety and quality care
