Role Description This full-time, on-site Postdoctoral Researcher position is based in Kelowna, BC. The role focuses on experimental and computational studies of heat and moisture transfer from human body, through porous fabrics, to the ambient environment, including designing and conducting laboratory experiments, developing numerical models, and analyzing complex datasets. The researcher will collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and external partners.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting high-quality research, publishing results in peer-reviewed journals, reporting to industrial partners, maintaining accurate documentation of methods and findings.



The position may also involve mentoring students, support the preparation of grant proposals. Qualifications

Strong laboratory skills relevant to heat and mass transfer in porous materials, including experimental design, instrumentation, and secure lab practices. Research experience with textile and fabric is preferred.

Proficiency in numerical simulation using scientific software including Fluent, COMSOL, OpenFOAM.

PhD in a relevant discipline completed or near completion, with a strong publication record in recognized journals.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare manuscripts and reports and to organize meetings with industrial partners.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple tasks, and meet research deadlines.

Experience with proposal writing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and engagement with industry or applied research partners is an asset.
