Join a passionate and innovative virtual care team that is transforming access to culturally safe healthcare for First Nations people across BC. Supporting the First Nations Virtual Doctor of the Day and Virtual Substance Use and Psychiatry Service, you'll play a key role in connecting clients with timely care while helping shape the future of virtual health services.

Title: Primary care response assistant

Salary: $60,820 - $72,223 - $83,627 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: Term contract until March 31, 2027

Hours: 8:30am- 4:30 pm Mon-Fri (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Anywhere in BC

About The Role As the Primary Care Response Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of FNHA's virtual care services, including patient registration, scheduling, medical records, MSP billing, and care coordination.



This critical role helps ensure clients receive seamless access to culturally safe care and supports the effective delivery of province-wide virtual health services.

About You To be successful in this role you will have/be;

Education & Experience

- Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant Certificate Program from an accredited Community College
- 3 to 5 - years experience in a medical practice with advanced knowledge in billing, data and administrative processes, human resource management principles and practices, and current scheduling practices.

Skills/Experience

- Experience supporting healthcare, virtual care, or clinical operations with a strong understanding of patient-facing administrative processes.
- Exceptional scheduling and coordination skills, including managing appointments, provider schedules, competing priorities, and high-volume administrative workflows.
- Knowledge of medical administration and billing processes, including experience with MSP billing, medical terminology, healthcare documentation, or transferable healthcare office administration experience.
- Strong technical proficiency, with experience using EMRs, Microsoft Office applications, Zoom, and other virtual healthcare technologies.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to cultural safety, confidentiality, and compassionate client care

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
