Principal Clinical Scientist (AI Training) About The Role What if your years of clinical trial expertise could directly shape how AI reasons about medical evidence, regulatory submissions, and patient outcomes? We're looking for a Principal Clinical Scientist to bring senior-level rigor to AI-driven research — ensuring the clinical data powering next-generation AI systems meets the standards you'd expect in a real-world regulatory submission. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced clinical scientists who want to do meaningful work on their own terms.
No AI background required — just deep expertise in clinical trial design and regulatory-grade data interpretation.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design and review clinical trial protocols used to generate high-quality, regulator-ready datasets for AI training
Interpret and audit clinical trial results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory relevance
Evaluate AI-generated clinical analyses for scientific soundness and alignment with regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, or equivalent)
Provide expert feedback that directly shapes how AI models reason about clinical trial data, endpoints, and outcomes
Help establish quality standards for how AI understands and evaluates real-world clinical evidence
Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Senior-level experience designing clinical trial protocols for regulatory submission
Deep expertise interpreting clinical data for agencies such as FDA, EMA, or equivalent regulatory bodies
Strong command of clinical research methodology, biostatistics, or translational science
Naturally rigorous and detail-oriented — you hold clinical data to a high standard
Comfortable working independently and delivering structured, well-reasoned expert feedback
No prior AI or tech experience required Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
Background in pharmacology, epidemiology, or health outcomes research
Familiarity with AI tools or clinical informatics platforms as an end user
