We're hiring a Senior Product Engineer to work closely with enterprise customers to deploy data-driven software solutions in technical and operational environments. This is a highly cross-functional role that combines engineering expertise, customer engagement, data analysis, and technical problem-solving.
About the Role
You'll work directly with customer stakeholders to understand operational challenges, analyze process and production data, develop models and workflows, and help drive measurable improvements using the company's platform. The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating with technical teams, working with complex datasets, and translating technical insights into practical business value.
Responsibilities
Customer Success & Delivery
- Partner with enterprise customers to deploy and scale software solutions
- Lead technical onboarding and implementation initiatives across operational environments
- Build trusted relationships with technical and business stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for workflow optimization, operational improvement, and data-driven insights
- Translate customer challenges into actionable technical solutions and product feedback
- Support successful project execution from discovery through deployment
Technical Analysis & Problem Solving
- Analyze operational and process datasets to uncover trends and optimization opportunities
- Develop models, simulations, and analytical workflows using Python and related tools
- Work with industrial and operational data systems to contextualize and interpret data
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve platform functionality
- Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives in complex operational settings
Qualifications
- Approximately 8-10 years of experience in process engineering, process manufacturing, operations, or related technical environments
- Experience in several different unit operations
- Experience in speciality chemicals such as adhesives, agrichemicals, cleaning materials, colors, cosmetic additives, construction chemicals, elastomers, flavors, food additives, fragrances, industrial gases, lubricants, paints, polymers, surfactants
- Chemical Engineering or related degree
- Desire to be customer facing, 60% of this role is interacting with customers
- Fluency in French is a bonus
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience working with data analysis, modelling, or simulation tools
- Familiarity with Python or similar technical tooling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work directly with customer stakeholders in cross-functional environments
- A relevant degree in Chemical Engineering
- Solid communication and project management skills
- Experience supporting technical implementations or operational improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of enterprise historians such as OSIsoft PI, DeltaV, Wonderware, GE Proficy, or similar industrial systems is valuable
Pay range and compensation package Salary: CAD160,000 to CAD 170,000 + benefits, depending on seniority and experience
