Print Shop Associate / Graphic Designer (Customer Service & Production)

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Print Shop Associate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn multiple aspects of the printing and shipping industry.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Service

- Welcome and assist walk-in customers professionally.
- Understand customer printing, shipping, and rental requirements.
- Prepare quotations and invoices.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.
- Recommend suitable printing materials and finishing options.

Graphic Design & Prepress

- Create and modify artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw, and InDesign.
- Check customer files for print readiness.
- Perform preflight inspections and correct artwork issues.
- Prepare files for digital and large-format printing.
- Ensure color accuracy, bleed, margins, and resolution meet production standards.

Printing & Production

- Operate digital production printers and large-format printers.
- Produce business cards, brochures, flyers, posters, banners, stickers,



labels, signs, and other printed products.
- Perform trimming, laminating, mounting, binding, folding, scoring, cutting, packaging, and other finishing tasks.
- Maintain quality control throughout the production process.
- Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance.

Shipping & Mailbox Services

- Process FedEx shipments.
- Assist customers with shipping, pickup, and drop-off services.
- Manage physical and virtual mailbox services.
- Handle packaging and shipping supplies.

U-Haul Services

- Assist customers with truck and trailer rentals.
- Verify customer documentation.
- Complete rental agreements and returns.
- Inspect vehicles before and after rental.

Qualifications

Required

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Graphic design knowledge.
- Experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.

Preferred

- Experience working in a print shop or sign shop.
- Knowledge of digital and large-format printing.
- Experience with prepress and postpress production.




- Knowledge of color management and print file preparation.
- Experience using RIP software is an asset.
- Experience with FedEx shipping systems, mailbox services, or U-Haul rentals is an asset (training will be provided if needed).
