Position Overview
Pureoyl Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Product Compounder to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the precise blending and compounding of raw materials to produce high-quality health and wellness products. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet strict regulatory standards and quality specifications before they reach the packaging line.
Key Responsibilities
Batch Manufacturing: Accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw materials (liquids, powders, and oils) according to Master Batch Records (MBR) and standardized formulas.
Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and sanitize industrial compounding equipment, including high-shear mixers, jacketed kettles, and homogenizers.
Quality Compliance: Conduct in-process quality checks (pH, viscosity, specific gravity, and organoleptic testing) to ensure every batch meets established benchmarks.
Documentation: Maintain rigorous, real-time documentation of batch yields, lot numbers of raw materials used, and equipment cleaning logs in accordance with GMP.
Sanitization & Safety: Perform thorough Clean-in-Place (CIP) and manual cleaning of tanks, valves, and transfer lines to prevent cross-contamination.
Inventory Support: Assist in the staging of raw materials and report any discrepancies in ingredient stock or quality.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field is a solid asset.
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a compounding or mixing role within the pharmaceutical, NHP (Natural Health Products), or cosmetic industries.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety (WHMIS/OSHA).
Technical Skills
Ability to read and follow complex technical formulas and SOPs.
Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations for batch scaling and adjustments.
Experience with mechanical troubleshooting of production machinery.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25kg (55 lbs) and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Attributes
High level of integrity and attention to detail—understands that "close enough" is not an option in healthcare manufacturing.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Lab teams.
Experience working with natural ingredients, herbal extracts, or essential oils.
