General Description The Production Planning Analyst is responsible for generating, maintaining and improving an efficient production schedule, meeting customer requirements and minimizing cycle times while maximizing the use of existing inventory.

The Production Planning

Analyst maintains the production schedule, with a robust analytical mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. Providing support to the Production Scheduling Manager on the implementation of efficient production workflows, minimizing bottlenecks, and achieving operational excellence. Skill/Effort Requirements Excellent computer acumen, experience in Microsoft D365 is considered an asset, must have advanced excel level and knowledge of Power Bi and large data base management.

Excellent attention to detail Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with more than 5,000 SKU’s with +400 production orders per month that requires several complex routes with little supervision

Able to complete tasks to deadline

Excellent communication skills

Able to communicate complex routing concerns to a varied audience of small and larger groups Responsibilities Create level loaded MPS (Master Production Schedule) with a 3 – 4-week outlook

Generates initiatives to monitor production planning KPIs while keeping a high level of proficiency and continuous improvement approach on all processes

Monitor, adjust and issue the necessary revisions to the schedule in order to meet deadlines and quantities in coordination with Production schedule to the manufacturing team. Also, ensure the follow-up of special and /or critical production orders

Plan production and generate work orders according to sales and confirmed demand and projections,



optimizing production lines to ensure the effective use of installed capacity and human resource

Monitors and controls work in progress (WIP) levels, providing advice to production scheduling team members on strategies to optimize execution with minimum downtime due to lack of material

Monitors and controls on time delivery in manufacturing (compliance) and shipping to customer (service level)

Monitor, adjust and issue the necessary revisions to the schedule in order to meet deadlines and quantities in coordination with Production schedule to the manufacturing team. Also, ensure the follow-up of special and /or critical production orders

Works closely with sales to confirm delivery dates considering plan capacity and availability of materials

Updates the sales priority items list and production orders with order acknowledgment date and projected delivery date

Mentors other planning team members by proactively coaching, communicating and guiding them in D365 planning related processes, product knowledge and processes

Works together with manufacturing, engineering, and information systems to input capacity, standard times, change overs, maintenance shutdowns into the weekly production schedule

Identify bottlenecks and capacity concerns and works with the production planning team to develop strategies to find external and internal resolution

Monitor all production units to ensure work schedules are available in every work center, and prioritize list are created

Liaise with engineering, purchasing, sales and information systems to achieve on time delivery at optimum cost

Ensure all work orders are closed at the end of the process; review irregularities and escalate to the plant manager if needed
